Heavy Duty Warranty - 5 Years

Kimberley Carpets are designed and made in New Zealand to the highest standard using the finest quality New Zealand wool.  We are pleased to extend a seven year warranty on our Extra Heavy Duty Kimberley carpets and a five year warranty on our Heavy Duty carpets.

This warranty covers any manufacturing defect or fault in your carpet.

This warranty requires the following conditions;

• The carpet is used for residential purposes only
• The carpet was installed to AS 2455.1-2007
• The carpet has been properly maintained

Should the carpet be found to be faulty, then the affected areas will be replaced at our expense, including installation costs.

Please note that this guarantee does not cover the following: -

• Damage to the carpet backing caused by external factors
• Carpet tears, burns or cuts
• Damage caused by accidents or improper cleaning agents or methods
• Carpet used for industrial or commercial purposes

All Kimberley carpets are treated to deter insect and moth infestation.  Should a problem occur within a five year period of purchase, we will repair or replace the affected area, providing the carpet has been properly maintained.

Shading / Watermarking

All cut pile carpets, and more, particularly, 'plush pile' carpets, may develop lighter or darker patches over time.  Just like natural fabrics, such as velvet and suede, they are appreciated for this very quality.
Variously known as "shading", "watermarking", "puddling", or "pile reversal", it is caused by the permanent bending of the carpet pile fibres which then reflect light differently. The extent to which this occurs cannot be accurately predicted or prevented and is most often related to the location.
Shading does not affect the wear or durability of the carpet and is not recognised as a manufacturing flaw or defect.  You are urged to consider this characteristic before choosing a cut pile carpet.
